JTC Running is hosting a Field event only meet at 10:00 A.M. at The Bolles School. This will be a competition and not a field event clinic. However, we will have field event specialists to ensure safety and provide a demonstration of each discipline. Our specialist include:
High Jump- Kaley Petrosky, division 1 high jumper from UNF.
Shot Put and Discus- Garrett Scantling, 2020 Olympic decathlete, 4 x US champion, #8 all-time decathlon score in world history.
Long Jump- Kyle Martin, former professional decathlete, finished 6th place at US Indoors in the heptathlon.
Triple Jump- Eli Sunquist, triple jumped at Wake Forest and Charlotte, 3 x NCAA qualifier in the triple jump.
Number pickup and day of meet registration will open at 9:00 A.M. First event will be at 10:00 A.M.
Note: no equipment will be needed-we will have age appropriate shot and discus available.
Event list:
10:00 A.M. Long jump, High Jump, and shot put. Triple jump will begin after completion of long jump. Discus will begin after completion of shot put. Will participate in age heats; first women, then men
Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-49, 50+
Entry to meet is free of charge to all pre-registered on-line participants. Please select Yes for all events that you may wish to enter.
Free on-line registration will close at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8th. A team registration spreadsheet for 5 or more registrants can be down downloaded HERE. It must be returned by February 7th to ensure processing. For fewer than 5, or for adds, please enter manually online.
PLEASE register online--we will have limited day of meet registration which will end at 9:30 A.M. (no more than 20 same day registrations). Those not pre-registered will be charged $10.00 for day of meet registration.
Awards: Medals will be given to the top three in each age group for each individual event. All athletes age 12 and under will receive participation ribbons.
